George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) is Houston’s major international hub. While most private flyers prefer Hobby or a regional field, IAH is the right call for two cases: trips originating in far-north Houston, and international itineraries that need full customs and immigration on arrival.
When to use IAH
Choose IAH when you’re based near The Woodlands/north metro and heading abroad, or when connecting to/from an international leg. Its long runways accommodate the largest ultra-long-range jets and VIP airliners without restriction.
